Hailee Steinfeld shares the screen with a prolific cast of actors in Tommy Lee Jones‘ “The Homesman,” a new trailer for which has debuted today.
The film, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival back in May, tells the story of a woman named Mary Bee Cuddy (played by Hilary Swank), who is described by Lee Jones’ George Briggs as being “as fine a woman who’s ever walked.” The trailer opens with Briggs recounting to Steinfeld’s Tabitha Hutchinson about his quest with Cuddy, whom he offered to help after she saved him from meeting an unpleasant death by hanging. In return for his life, Briggs complied on assisting Cuddy in her five-week journey to escort three insane women — played by Grace Gummer, Miranda Otto and Sonja Richter — from Nebraska to Iowa, a journey Briggs calls “a lot more than I bargained for.”
“The Homesman,” which also features appearances by Meryl Streep, James Spader, John Lithgow, and Jesse Plemons, is slated for a November 14 release. Check out the new trailer (courtesy of Yahoo! Movies) below.
